Before ordering a memorial, consider:

  • If you are the grave owner, we will need a signed permit form from the churchyard/council

A memorial is a grave marker, usually depicting details of the individual who passed away. They come in many designs and forms. Our ‘memorials’ refer to our range of large, kerbed headstones and or smaller lawn stones and flat grave markers, all of which can be viewed above and in our brochure.

When you place the order you will be asked to pay a 50% deposit, plus any cemetery or church fee, with the balance of the agreed price payable within 30 days of final completion.

You will be shown a full colour proof of the new headstone design before production begins. Prior to signing to confirm your order, it is crucial you check this proof thoroughly, ensuring wording, spelling of the inscription, and any dates are correct. Any alterations should then be confirmed immediately and in writing. Please note: Unless you give explicit written instructions to the contrary, the layout of the inscription will be left to the letter carver.

Please do not sign the proof until you are 100% happy, as once signed changes are chargeable. We cannot take responsibility for any errors that were confirmed on the proof and any rectification would be at your own expense.

The availability of the materials, the complexity of design and the condition of the ground will affect the time the memorial will take to complete. We will communication with you on estimated timeframes throughout the process so you are always informed.

The material you choose for your stone will dictate the colour options available. Granite comes in many shades and is inarguably attractive. Alternatively, you can select a white marble, they grey-green tones of natural slate or the light brown/yellow natural hues of Yorkstone or sandstone. Stones can also be adorned with gilded, enamel, paint or lead lettering, available in black, white, gold or silver.
